What Do I Have to Do?

First

Decide on where you're getting married (Maryland, Washington DC, Virginia). This is important because it determines where you will get your marriage license.

Second

Obtain a marriage license in the jurisdiction where the marriage will occur. DC and VA does not have a waiting period. However, Maryland, has a 48 hour waiting period.

Get Married

Hire an officiant to preside over your nuptial. We would be honored to help. If you need a location, venue, floral, musician, etc; you will have to do some research or hire a wedding planner.

We receive this question multiple times a day, so we created The Ultimate Marriage Guide. For those who prefer video tutorials, check ours out.
