Startum by SJB Ministries LLC: Terms of Service

Welcome to Startum by SJB Ministries! We are a Black female owned company, who’s delighted to provide wedding officiating services, to couples in Washington DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia; creating memorable and inclusive ceremonies for all.

1. Acceptance of Terms By engaging our services, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions of our contract. If you disagree with any part of these terms, please refrain from using our services.

2. Services Provided Startum provides wedding officiant services, catering to all couples, regardless of gender identification. Our ceremonies are designed to celebrate love, commitment, and inclusivity.

3. Booking and Payment To secure our services, a non-refundable payment is required upon booking, with the remaining balance due 30 days the wedding day. We accept payments through our PayPal credit card merchant and checks.

4. Cancellation Policy In the event of cancellation, please notify Startum at least 30 days before the scheduled ceremony. The non-refundable deposit will not be returned. A credit is provided to the couple for futhre use.  

5. Inclusivity Startum is committed to serving all individuals, irrespective of gender identification, race, religion, or other factors. We respect and honor the diversity of our clients.

6. Legal Requirements It is the responsibility of the couple to ensure that all legal requirements for marriage in Maryland, Washington DC, or Virginia are met. Startum will provide guidance on the ceremony, but does not handle legal paperwork.

7. Intellectual Property All content, including ceremony scripts and designs, created by Startum is the intellectual property of Startum and may not be used without explicit permission.

8. Privacy Policy Startum respects your privacy. Information collected during the booking process will be used solely for the purpose of providing officiant services and will not be shared outside of SJB Ministries LLC.

9. Amendments to Terms Startum reserves the right to update and modify these terms. Clients will be notified of any changes.
