Whether you're having a traditional wedding, a customized one, a private celebration or an elopement; I will lend my expertise to you (from the processional to the recessional); so that your wedding day will be one to remember.

Since my ordination in 2004, I have been adhering to a strong code of ethics. I believe that a couple should be empowered with choices for their wedding day. Therefore, I am committed to providing a service that is modern, unique, dependable and encompasses the norm.

We can work together or I can do all the work for you. Either way, your ceremony will reflects your feelings, beliefs, and culture. Your ceremony can be:

Now let me talk about myself. Most people call me Rev. Burns, a MD wedding officiant, a Southern MD officiant, and marriage celebrant.    And I live in Prince George's County. The part of Southern Maryland that's closer to Washington, DC.

In 2004, I was inspired to serve those of all faiths and all cultures. So I founded The Chapel of Love Ceremonies, and shortly after that, I started SJB Ministries LLC.

Research has shown me that many couples today, seek a celebrant who respects their beliefs, relationships, and values.    And my training has taught me to embrace cultural and spiritual diversity openly, lovingly, and unconditionally.

As a licensed minister, I am authorized to perform weddings and other rites of passage in Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia. I received additional authorization from the Superior Court of Washington DC, and the City of Alexandria Virginia for the solemnization of marriages.

The above fees are based on wedding location, my experience, writing and revising the ceremony, traveling to and from the wedding site, rehearsal participation, wedding party direction and coordination (if needed), my time corresponding with you, filing the county marriage license, officiating the ceremony, and other logistics. And if applicable; a holiday wedding fee of $60 is added to the base cost.

Southern Maryland Weddings - Initial Meeting (Free)

Call me for a free introductory meeting. Once we have agreed on a meeting date and time; kindly confirm it with me the day before or the morning (after 10:00 am) of our meeting. This way I will know that you are sincere about your wedding plans and meeting with me. If I do not hear from you (at least 4 hour in advance), I will assume that you are no longer interested in my services.

Most meetings are held in Prince George's County, Maryland at Panera Bread in the Vista Gardens Marketplace: 10531 Martin Luther King Jr. Highway, Bowie, MD 20720. The shopping center is adjacent to my community.

If you would like to reserve my services at the end of our meeting, you will need and a $100 cash deposit. Checks, money orders, and credit cards are also accepted. You may also pay online with PayPal.
