Allergies / Respiratory/ Breathing

I had year-round allergies.  And it was getting harder and harder for me to breath.  Of course, I was treated by my vet.  One vet said, if I could breath out of my nose, then he was not going to treat the problem and for mom to continue what she was doing.

The next one diagnosed me, and gave me a prescription to help me breath.  That medicine caused me to tremble so much that it had to be reduced.  It did not work at all.  When mom asked her for another treatment, the vet suggested that I see an internist who specialized in respiratory ailments.

Meanwhile, mom found this product online and decided to give it a try.  Dad was against it, but mom thoughts were "what harm could it do."

Nzymes - This product really works!

It worked so well that mom bought some for herself.

My miracle in a bottle "Nzymes for Pets."

Joint Pain / Stiffness

Well after breaking my legs a few time and with a little age, I am beginning to have a little unpleasant stiffness and joint pain.  My vet put me on Medicam.  It helped, but the down side to it is that Medicam can cause some serious problems with long-term use.

And my mom believes that my vet told her to check around on the internet for an alternative solution to my problem (prior to prescribing the medicine). At that time she really did not know what to do (Mrs. Resourceful).  But once she was told that another refill of Medicam would require me to have a blood test ($1??.00) and that long term use of this product could cause liver problems, she moved quickly to fine an alternative.

Växamine K-9™ is a natural anti-inflammatory / pain killer that has the bitterest taste in the world.  However, it works.  And I am back walking, climbing stairs, chasing lights, and being my old self.  I may not like this product (which I really, really don't), but it gets the job done.

If I was only a good boy and took the medicine disguise in a treat with peanut butter, my life would be easier.  And I could enjoy my food without that stuff being in it.  I started out on 1 tablet twice/day.  Then mom reduced it to a 1/2 tablet twice/day, but I still was not eating much of my food.

So she reduced it to a 1/4 tablet twice/day.  Now I will eat all my food but not all at once.  I simply sniff the stuff out, eat around it, turn my head in displeasure; and eat it when I want to.  And I wash it down with lots of water.  It is my hope that the company finds a way to make this stuff taste better.

PS, I don't do honey; and mom also uses prayer, and Joint Care 3 from Dr. Foster.

Update:  I do take a 1/4 tablet of Vaxamine K-9 (twice/day) broken up in 6 pieces and placed in 3 treats cut in half.  Each half has 1/6 of the Vaxamine and is smeared with peanut butter.  Then the treats are placed in the freezer and served with my meal.

This works for me.  So find the solution that works for your pet, because there is one.  Vaxamine K-9 is not an easy one to swallow.
