Can there really be angels in human form. Well Holly and Debbie proved to be that to me. Recently I got an eye infection (the vet thought). And she prescribed a prescription ointment for the treatment of my eyes. My mom was the one to administer this medicine to me. Knowing that she lacked the qualifications to administer medicine, I was not about to let her and big daddy do anything to me. I fought them like my life was in danger, until they gave up trying.
Some people might say that I'm a little cry baby. Why should I trust them, these are my eyes. They needed someone with professional skills to teach them what to do. One lesson from a vet doesn’t make them qualified.
So mom went into prayer. She does this you know. This was followed by meditation. Bam.... the answer came. Call the pet groomer. She was not sure what the outcome was going to be. But that did not deter her from trying. So she first placed a call to my vet, and after explaining the problem, the vet's technician replied "I'll have the vet to contact you." Well that call came later that afternoon.
Meanwhile, she called my nail groomer's office and was happy to hear a sweet young angel at the end listening patiently to her cry for help. All she wanted was for someone to hold and muzzle me while she put the ointment in my eyes, she explained. Suddenly the voice of love, care, understanding, and compassion came through the phone line and said, "I can help you with that."
All mom's anxiety disappeared. We were at the groomer office in micro seconds, and I got my first dose of medicine administered by mom. Mom was a little upset that my vet's technician did not care enough to offer any kind of solution. She knew that I could not be the only dog that resisted the aid of its pet guardians.
She is grateful to know that earth bound angels like Holly and Debbie who demonstrate the compassion of mankind and are true to the profession of caring for animals. These women are special and I wish more were like them.
I hope you find your angels to help you when your pet needs help and won't allow you treat him. Remember that Holly and Debbie are not the only angels in town, you just have to seek them.
Angels should never be taken for granted, but appreciated, so we all can call upon them.
By the way, Holly and Debbie work at Columbia Kennels in Seabrook,
Maryland. Tell them Eckie sent you. But don't forget to let them groom your pet, every now and then.
Holly is on her way to becoming a full time real estate agent, so look her up when you are selling or buying a house.
