All Natural Lamb and Rice Treats
One day when pop was making my chow, he used the wrong measurements of lamb to rice; suddenly my dog treats were born. Mom processed it a little more, added some more lamb juice, and roll that stuff into little wieners. And I have been addicted to those natural pet treats every since.
When my diet changed, mom tried many lamb treats such as lamb lung treats for dogs, and lamb ears that were full of fat. Well dog treats like that caused me to have constant diarrhea, that would not subside until my vet informed mom that pet treats high in fat or made with animal organs were the cause and needed to removed from my diet. After taking the antibiotics and withdrawing from them, my system adjusted and the diarrhea dissipated.
Now I only eat homemade all natural dog treats made by mom. She removes all visible fat from the boneless leg of lamb that she buys from Costco, bakes it, cuts off the needed amount, adds cooked rice and defatted lamb stock from the meat drippings, processes the mix, then shape into mini wieners. These treats do not cause me any allergy or stomach problems. However, they can add a pound on your pet if he/she eats too many of them.
I like my dog treats served frozen, especially in the summer time. You can defrost the ones you give your pet by letting them sit at room temperature for about 2-3 minutes or by nuking them in the microwave for 9 - 10 seconds.
